Practical implications of the Mediation Act 2017 for family lawyers

The main improvements to the law contained in the Domestic Violence Bill are as follows:

 

Mediation can be the best way for spouses to sort out their differences when getting separated or divorced following marital breakdown. 

Mediation is one of a number of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and is appropriate for many divorce in Ireland and separation cases. Keith Walsh has advised clients to go for mediation as an alternative to court and has advised them while they are in mediation.
